This unique area, just some short miles off Panama’s Pacific Coast from the Veraguas province, is renowned for its variety of big game fish, such as yellow-fin tuna, blue and black marlin, and other pelagic species.

This is truly an amazing experience! Located on a secluded beach on Bahía Honda Island, this is the closest spot in Panama to Hannibal Bank and its sport fishing riches. Hannibal Lodge offers cozy accommodations and serves as the perfect resting place while you plan your day’s fishing adventure. Rooms are oceanfront, nicely furnished, air-conditioned with double, single and bunk bed options, all of them with a 4 to 6 guest capacity. Chefs are present to prepare breakfast in the mornings, lunch for the boats, and cook up dinner every day. Drinks included.

Within a distance of just a few miles, the ocean depths quickly rise up from thousands of feet deep. The convergence of ocean going currents creates a upwelling effect which results in nutrient rich waters.

A short distance from The Hannibal Bank is the uninhabited and unspoiled island, Isla Montuosa. The fishery surounding Isla Montuosa is also rich with marine life. From huge Cubera Snapper to Massive Yellow Fin Tuna, the ecosystem around Montuosa is breath taking.
