Many divers find that night diving is their favorite type of diving. As with all specialty diving applications, procedures are different than those associated with open water diving.
The purpose of this class is to acquaint the scuba diving procedures, techniques, and potential hazards associated with diving at night, or in limited visibility. Becoming familiar with the use of dive lights, and night diving techniques such as navigation, buddy system procedures, communications, buoyancy control, and interacting with nocturnal aquatic life, the diver can safely enjoy night diving.This program provides the skills and concepts required to safely and comfortably dive at night or in limited visibility conditions. ... and how to communicate and dive with a buddy at night or in limited visibility.
You will earn the SSI Night Diving and Limited Visibility Specialty certification after completing this program.
Certification Prerequisites:Open Water Diver
Academic Sessions: 1
Open Water Dives: Minimum 2
Maximum Training Depth:30 meters / 100 feet (12-14 year-old: 18 meters / 60 feet)
Gear Requirements - Lights (Primary, Backup, Tank Marker) & Snorkeling Gear (Mask, Snorkel, 6.5mm Wetsuit Booties, Open Heel Fins, and 3mm Gloves)
Ocean Gear Requirements - SCUBA Equipment *Available for rental*

Class: The class starts at 6:00 pm. Ensure you when booking that you select the correct desired location! Ocean Dives take place on the boat trip the Sunday after class.
